Friedman: 'I don't mind if Cheryl mimes'

X Factor choreographer Brian Friedman has claimed that it doesn't matter if Cheryl Cole mimes on the show.

Recent rumours have suggested that Cole is planning to mime when she performs 'Fight For This Love' on tomorrow's results programme, although she has denied the speculation.

However, Friedman told Radio 1's Newsbeat that most famous singers mime at some point in their career.

He said: "I can only compare this to other performers out there: Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Beyoncé, Britney Spears. They've all mimed at award shows and other various occasions.

"This is not Cheryl's competition. She's already competed in one before on TV, she's proven herself as an artist, so I don't think it would really matter."

Cole recently said that she had banned her family and friends from the X Factor audience when she performs.
