'X Factor' Movie Week draws 11.8 million

Movie Week, which saw the final eight acts perform classic songs from movies, was the highest-rated live performances show of the series to date. The figure also represents a significant increase on last week's show, which was seen by 10.34m (42.3%).
The latest edition of Strictly Come Dancing, which saw actor Craig Kelly voted off, put in 8.68m (37.7%) for BBC One between 6.25pm and 8.15pm. It followed on from the latest episode of Merlin, which dropped to 4.69m (23.6%) in an earlier timeslot.
ITV1's You've Been Framed and Harry Hill's TV Burp put in 4.04m (17.8%) and 5.41m (23.2%) in the 7pm hour. Post X Factor, Piers Morgan's Life Stories - this week featuring Ronnie Corbett - interested 3.94m (17.6%).
The latest Lottery draw grabbed 4.58m (18.7%) for BBC One at 8.15pm, then ten minutes later, a new episode of Casualty was watched by 4.58m (18.1%). Live coverage of Festival of Remembrance 2009 followed with an impressive 5.36m (23.7%) between 9.15pm and 10.50pm.
On BBC Two, The Secret Life of the Berlin Wall - a documentary marking the 20th anniversary of the wall's collapse - appealed to 1.12m (4.5%) from 8.05pm. 90 minutes later, an extended edition of Have I Got News For You had 2.02m (8.8%), then at 10.15pm, The Thick Of It drew 920k (4.4%).
Channel 4's documentary on the Japanese suicide pilots of WWII, The Day of the Kamikaze, interested 770k (3.1%) between 8pm and 9.30pm, then a screening of The Full Monty grew the audience to 1.51m (7.2%).
On Five, NCIS put in 981k (4%) from 7.50pm, then CSI: NY logged 952k (3.7%) at 8.40pm. CSI and Law & Order: SVU followed with respective audiences of 1.23m (5.5%) and 1.21m (7.1%).
ITV1 maintained the lead in primetime, with an average share of 30.5% to BBC One's 27.1%. BBC Two was third with 5.2%, followed by Channel 4 with 4.5% (+1: 0.3%) and Five with 4.6%.
ITV2's spinoff show The Xtra Factor was the top-rated multichannel programme of the day, taking 1.08m (5.1%) at 9.35pm. JLS Revealed, a fly-on-the-wall documentary following the former X Factor finalists, followed with 441k (2.9%).
