In Saturday night's episode, the music mogul challenged the rocker live on air to help out the show's contestants and "impart his knowledge". He later promised to create a Sting Week in celebration of the occasion.
Cowell's comments came after the 58-year-old branded The X Factor an "appalling" programme which is nothing more than "televised karaoke".
Sting's spokeswoman Regine Moylett has now told the Daily Star that the singer does not want anything to do with the ITV1 talent show.
She confirmed: "I reckon that Sting has probably said everything he wants to say about The X Factor."
