The Irish judge, who had on-air rows with Minogue in the 2007 and 2008 contests, confirmed that he has been impressed by his co-star's conduct in recent months.
In an interview with The Paul O'Grady Show, Walsh commented: "Dannii is playing a blinder this year.
"She's worked really hard, she's very professional and she gives everything to the show. I have to say - everything."
Earlier this year, Minogue described Walsh as a "genuine little sweetheart" after he reportedly apologised for reducing her to tears on a live show in the previous series.
Show insiders have also claimed that there was a "love-fest" between the pair at the most recent audition rounds.
