Danyl 'in danger of being kicked out'

X Factor judges are reportedly on the verge of kicking Danyl Johnson off the show, after he stormed off set earlier this week.

If the singer is in the bottom two tonight, the mentors may take the opportunity to get rid of him, the News of the World claims.

A show insider told the newspaper: "They have to judge Danyl's performance in the sing-off, but they can't totally overlook how he's acted this week.

"They're looking for an international popstar and he's proved he can't handle the pressure and doesn't have the personality to deal with tricky situations.

"Louis and Cheryl were starting to warm to Danyl, but it's back to square one now. They think he's acted in a completely unprofessional manner.

"You don't see Alexandra Burke or Leona Lewis storming out of practice. The judges think it's incredibly childish.

"He's acting like a spoilt brat, even though they've given him an amazing opportunity.

"It's hard for them to completely block out all the stories they're hearing. All the other contestants, who are younger than him, are managing so it's not good that he's not."

The source added: "Simon is very disappointed in Danyl. He's had so much support over the course of the competition. Through everything, Simon has always backed him and stayed loyal but his patience has been severely tested this time.

"He knows Danyl has a good chance of going tonight and knows a lot of people will think it's his own fault."

The X Factor insider went on to say Johnson would be vulnerable if he finishes in the bottom two this weekend.

"Simon has made it clear to the other judges that they have to judge the sing-off based on that night's performance," they stated.

"But Danyl is starting at a disadvantage. Cheryl would never get rid of her own act to save him and Louis has serious reservations."

Commenting on Johnson's state of mind, the source said: "He's in some type of turmoil. He knows he's made himself unpopular and he doesn't know how to change it.

"He's been paranoid about facing the judges but much more worried about the result. Leaving the show is his worst nightmare and he can see it becoming a reality."
