ITV2's spinoff shows The Xtra Factor and I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here Now! pulled in audiences of 742k (2.7%) and 415k (3%) at 9pm and 10.30pm respectively.
Countryfile notched up BBC One's highest audience of the day, with 6m (24%) tuning in at 7pm. Antiques Roadshow followed with 5.62m (19.1%), then a repeat episode of New Tricks was seen by 4.13m (14.3%).
Channel 4's screening of animated comedy Robots took 2.49m (10.5%) between 6.25pm and 8pm, then a new episode of Come Dine With Me appealed to 1.72m (5.9%). The first episode of a new five-part documentary The Queen launched to an impressive 2.4m (8.3%) in the 9pm hour.
The final episode of Ray Mears's Northern Wilderness logged 1.76m (6%) for BBC Two in the 8pm hour, then Top Gear improved the audience to 5.32m (18.5%).
Five's screening of Clint Eastwood war flick Firefox averaged 1.05m (4%) between 6.25pm and 9pm, then prison drama The Green Mile followed with 1.48m (8.3%) until 12.40am.
Overall, ITV1 led primetime with an average share of 32.2% to BBC One's 18.9%. BBC Two was third with 9.8%, followed by Channel 4 with 7.7% (+1: 0.6%) and Five with 4.7%.
