McElderry won last night's final of the reality talent show, beating runner-up Olly Murs after Stacey Solomon was eliminated on Saturday evening.
Winner's single 'The Climb' is available to download now, with physical CD copies in shops from Wednesday, December 16.
The track will be backed by versions of Queen's 'Somebody To Love' and Elton John's 'Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me'. Both songs were performed by McElderry in previous X Factor live shows.
'The Climb' was originally sung by Miley Cyrus for this year's Hannah Montana: The Movie.
