Houston suffered a wardrobe malfunction as she sang her single 'Million Dollar Bill' on the ITV1 show on October 18. Walsh did not appear on the panel for the episode as he had taken time off following the funeral of his close friend Stephen Gately.
Reflecting on Houston's guest slot, Walsh told The Mirror: "I was sat at home watching Whitney's performance and it was pure car crash television, but it was fantastic.
"When her dress came down and she tripped over it was a terrible moment. But it is live TV and she kept on going. Everyone loves it when that happens."
Discussing the criticism Robbie Williams received for his performance of 'Bodies' on the programme, the Irish judge added: "Robbie Williams took some flak but he is a brilliant performer."
Joe McElderry was voted the winner of The X Factor last night.
