Olly Murs 'lands Epic record deal'

The singer was approached by the label's bosses, who also have 2008 runners-up JLS on their books, after Simon Cowell chose not to sign him up, according to The Mirror.
A source said: "Olly's been down in the dumps because Simon had turned down working with him and it didn't look like anybody else would want to sign him up.
"But Epic really believe he's the JLS of this year. They think he has the talent and longevity needed to make it as a popstar."
It is thought that Murs, who lost out to Joe McElderry in the X Factor final, is poised to sign a "six-figure" contract with the label.
