G4 advise 'X Factor' contenders

G4 have offered some words of wisdom to those hoping to make it in this year's X Factor contest, reports ITV.com.

At an event celebrating 50 years of ITV they advised: "We can do it, and so can you. Persevere and put up with the emotional turmoil it puts you through.

"Ultimately you're dreams can come true as they have with us so just go for it and have fun."

The group have achieved far greater commercial success than last year's actual winner, Steve Brookstein, as head of his former record company Simon Cowell himself admits.

G4's second album 'G4 And Friends' will be released next month, featuring collaborations with Cliff Richard, Robin Gibb and Lesley Garrett.
