'X Factor' stars rely on lucky charms

The remaining X Factor contestants are relying on lucky charms to help them through the nerve-wracking live shows each week.

Chico Slimani, favourite to be eliminated tonight, has a toy sheep which he hopes will bring him good luck.

"I've got a lucky toy sheep which I've had with me ever since I made it through the auditions," Chico told the Daily Star. "I need it more than ever before. I've been saved by the viewers before and the other week even Simon Cowell saved me - so I'm just hoping this isn't the end of my run."

A source added, "Many of the finalists have got lucky charms with them which they believe are helping them stay in the contest. Andy from Journey South has some pink boxers which he always wears on the live show and believes keeps him and his brother Carl in the show.

"Brenda always touches her wedding ring before she performs to bring her good luck and so does newly-wed Maria. Chico has his sheep and is relying on his fluffy toy which he keeps in his bed every night to help him survive."
