Chico is to break new ground by singing the first non-cover version ever on X Factor.
The 34-year-old's offering for tonight's show, It's Chico Time, is written by veteran pop producer Mark Hudson.
Hudson won a Grammy for song writing with rockers Aerosmith and has produced tracks for Ringo Starr, Hanson and Ozzy Osbourne.
The 54-year-old says he is concerned the show will stir a bit less controversy this week. "I've had people in the street shouting that it's a fix," he said. "I'd never heard a TV crowd so frighteningly loud. I hope there's no repeat."
