Brenda's ex speaks about betrayal

A former lover of X Factor contestant Brenda Edwards is claiming that she cheated on him and stopped him from seeing their daughter.

Fitz Terullien was furious after he found another man in the singer's bedroom at the flat she shared with their toddler, Tanisha.

"It sent me wild. I thought we would be together forever but she was with another man," he told The People. "I was crazy and grabbed a knife. Brenda screamed at me to put it down so I punched the wall. I was crying, ranting and raving but she was so cold. She told me she loved this guy and it was over.

"She took my daughter and I have not seen her to this day. It has nearly destroyed me."

He added, "Seeing Brenda on The X Factor being cheered on by Tanisha awakened feelings I thought I'd buried. I'm not doing this to hurt anybody but it's an opportunity to put pressure on Brenda to let me in Tanisha's life. Hopefully she'll be ashamed of the way she behaved when the world knows."

A spokesperson for the show explained, "It was a stressful time for Brenda because they were estranged at the time. Fitz brandished a knife at Brenda which simply isn't acceptable. She doesn't accept she cut Tanisha out of his life. She says she gave him her phone number but he lost it."
