'X Factor', 'Idol' case to settle out of court
Published Friday, Nov 25 2005, 00:30 GMT | By Neil Wilkes

The news comes as the case, in which Fuller is alleging that Cowell copied the Idols format, was adjourned twice then postponed to an undetermined date.
The compromise deal being thrashed out by lawyers would see Fuller receive a 20% cut of X Factor profits. Cowell, meanwhile, would get a 30% to 40% cut in profits of American Idol - in addition to the estimated $15 million per episode he currently makes for appearing and in royalties from the show's music rights.
