Walsh annoyed with 'X Factor' category

Louis Walsh has claimed that he "nearly walked" when he discovered his X Factor category this year.

The Irish judge said that he was annoyed to be given the weakest selection of acts after Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue had missed parts of the audition and Boot Camp process.

"I'm not happy with my category. I nearly walked last week when they gave me my category," he told RTE 2fm.

"The girls are having an easy job. They weren't even there for all the auditions."

Walsh has previously been given the Groups to mentor in four out of six series. Last year, he distanced himself from the girlbands in his category, claiming that Kandy Rain and Miss Frank were the "best of a bad lot".

The X Factor continues this Saturday at 7.30pm on ITV1.
