Simon Cowell has reportedly banned the use of Auto-tune in the competition due to the reaction from viewers.
However, Lott - who joined the panel as a guest judge in Birmingham - told The Sun that she was not sure if vocals had been enhanced in any way.
"I'll have to watch it and see if I can hear any Auto-tuning," she said. "Because I think you can tell if it's being used."
Lott also admitted that she was shocked by "scary" Shirlena Johnson, who has been axed from the show due to medical problems.
"I've never seen anything like it," she said.
"I was watching it with my dad thinking, 'Oh my word, there are people like that in this world'."
The X Factor continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on ITV1.
