The Coronation Street actress wrote in her New magazine column that she did not think it was "right" to use the audio processor in a talent competition.
"I was shocked to discover that The X Factor has been using Auto-Tune to make contestants sound better," she said.
"I don’t think it’s right to do that on a TV talent show," she continued. "When I appeared on Popstars in 2001, we didn’t even have microphones when we auditioned and had to sing acapella!"
Marsh also revealed that her favourite auditionee so far had been Gamu Nhengu. "But her song choice of 'Walking On Sunshine' wasn't the best - I'd like to hear her sing a ballad," she commented.
However, she admitted that she was not keen on "Madonna lookalike Katie Waissel". She added: "She has a nice voice but is a little too confident for my liking!"
Simon Cowell has now reportedly banned the use of Auto-Tune on the programme.
