Shayne Ward has revealed that Robbie Williams voted for him in the X Factor final.
The reality show victor was at the Top of the Pops studio when Williams asked him for a chat, he told The Sun.
“He told me he was a huge X Factor fan and that he had been voting for me," explained Ward. "He said when he was in America he got tapes of the show sent over every week."
“He told me I should just enjoy myself and make the most of it. I couldn’t believe how genuine he was with me. I could tell he really meant what he said.???
The ex-Take That man did want something in return, however. He asked Ward to join his team for the pre-World Cup celebrity tournament.
“I’m quite a good player and Robbie asked me to be in his team," said the star. "I’d love to. When I was younger all I wanted was to play for Man United."
