Blunt 'laughed over X Factor Katie story'

James Blunt has said that he enjoyed being associated with The X Factor after it emerged that he had a fling with contestant Katie Waissel.

Former Apprentice star Michael Sophocles claimed that "nymphomaniac" Waissel, who he also described as "ruthlessly ambitious", dated Blunt after their own relationship ended.

Blunt told Metro that he "laughed" when the story broke, and added: "I thought it was kind of entertaining to be involved. I hadn't expected my name to be associated with X Factor at all and enjoy it."

The singer-songwriter also reportedly confirmed that his new song 'Dangerous' is about model Kate Moss, explaining: "Yes, she is a dangerous woman.

"It’s one of those naïve songs full of that teenage energy. That excitement of having someone, that fear and the excitement of the unknown."
