Ono voices support for Waissel, Lloyd

Yoko Ono has revealed that she is in favour of this weekend's X Factor tribute to The Beatles.

NME reports that John Lennon's widow even went to far as to send contestants her thanks and support through social networking site Twitter.

"Cher & Katie - I watched you sing 'Imagine' and 'Help!' on X Factor and thought you were fantastic," Ono tweeted. "A big hug to both of you, love Yoko."

Saturday night's X Factor show saw the final eight contestants each tackle a song by the famous Liverpudlian group.

Among the performances were Matt Cardle singing 'Come Together', boyband One Direction singing 'All You Need Is Love' and controversial contestant Katie Waissel showing a new look for her version of 'Help!'.
