The 'When We Collide' singer, who emerged victorious from the ITV competition's seventh series last December, explained that he would be unable to dash the dreams of aspiring performers, having followed the same route to stardom.
He joked during an appearance on Friday's edition of This Morning: "I would be nice to everyone every single night."
Cardle also expressed disappointment at reports that X Factor judge Simon Cowell may quit the show to concentrate on the highly-publicised US version, commenting: "He's an integral part of it."
It was alleged in today's Daily Mirror that Cardle, who is currently working on his debut studio album, is the only man to have his own private dressing room on the X Factor national tour.
A source said: "Matt said he was more than happy to share, like all the other men always have. Then One Direction were running around, screaming, and suddenly the idea of a room all to himself sounded a much better option."
