Frankie Cocozza has admitted that he deserved to be voted off The X Factor in week one.

The 18-year-old singer from Brighton confessed that he was the weakest performer in the show and said that he suspected he would be leaving in tomorrow's double elimination.

"I wouldn't be surprised if I go home. I probably should have gone home first week to be fair. But it don't mean I'm going to quit," Cocozza told The Xtra Factor.

After his cover of Black Eyed Peas' 'I Gotta Feeling', Louis Walsh blasted Cocozza, claiming that he had no future as a "rock star".

"That was really bad karaoke, I don't know how you're still in the competition," he said. "You're not a rock star and you never will be."

Tulisa Contostavlos described it as "a bit soft" and Kelly Rowland warned him about his weak vocals again.

Even his mentor Gary Barlow struggled to praise the performance, saying: "You did your best tonight."

The X Factor results show airs on Sunday at 8pm on ITV1.
