Dickson listed Sophie Habibis and Frankie Cocozza as the best voiceover names this year and said that 2009 act Rachel Adedeji was his all-time favourite.
The voice icon also defended the technical problems that caused a delay in the start of last Saturday's (November 12) live show.
"We managed to stumble onto the air 16 minutes late," Dickson told Digital Spy. "But nobody missed anything. It's live TV!"
