Speaking on The Xtra Factor, Contostavlos claimed that the singers are different from other groups because they are "real".
"I think they can inspire people," she said. "I think that if they win this competition, get a record deal, release music, I think they can inspire young women across the country.
"They can change people's lives through music. That to me is important."
Contostavlos also criticised her fellow judge Gary Barlow for his negative comments about the group on last night's show but suggested that they wouldn't have affected Little Mix's chances.
"I think for people at home watching, who knew how amazing their last performance was, they may have been angered by his comments," she said. "But I think Little Mix fans are true and they would vote either way."
The X Factor final begins on Saturday at 8pm on ITV1.
