The Australian mentored show winners Leon Jackson and Matt Cardle and only quit the show because of scheduling difficulties due to her pregnancy with son Ethan and work on Australia's Got Talent.
Minogue picked up a huge 40.3% of the vote in Digital Spy's survey, which polled over 15,000 UK entertainment fans.
Fellow ex-judge Cheryl Cole clocked up 11.8% in second place, ahead of US popstar Katy Perry (10%), Sharon Osbourne (8.2%) and Adele (6.7%).

Former X Factor champions Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke clocked up 2.3% and 2.5% of the vote respectively.
"The UK's biggest show still dominates debate among TV viewers, love it or hate it," said Digital Spy editor David Moynihan.
"Simon Cowell hasn't been out of headlines recently but at least this should help him make his next huge decision - which leading lady to replace Kelly Rowland with. The public have spoken and it's clear that Dannii is their favourite to return - by a mile."

At the bottom of the list of replacements were Simon Cowell's close friend Sinitta, who only racked up 1.1% of the vote, and series one X Factor winner Steve Brookstein, who only 1.5% of fans want to see back on the show.
