'X Factor' hopefuls not disqualified

A report at the weekend had claimed that both acts were signed with management group Colette Fenlon Management, a breach of show rules. Last week boyband Avenue was disqualified from the competition after it was revealed that the group was already signed to an agent.
Speaking to DS this afternoon, Quinn explained that his deal with the agency had expired earlier in the year. "I'm not in [a deal] at the moment," he said. "[Colette] got me little bits on [shows]... it was more my acting side really. She's a lovely person and I grew up knowing her."
Eton Road, meanwhile, had been offered - but refused - a management deal by the same agency. "James was going to audition as a solo artist for The X Factor anyway," explained group member David. "So we said 'thanks, but we'd rather just go it ourselves'."
The twelve acts will perform for the first time this Saturday.
