G4 criticise 'X Factor's fake feuds

G4 have criticised X Factor judges Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh for taking up too much air-time with their ongoing 'feud'.
The singers, who were runners-up in the show's first series, have revealed that the conflict between the judges is fake and believe that the contestants are being overshadowed.
"Watching the show is frustrating, because we know the judges aren't like that backstage. It's pure pantomime," Ben Thapa told The Sun. "Simon and Louis are actually really good mates and work on several projects together. It's silly. The judges are hogging more airtime than the contestants."
Matt Stiff added: "Backstage Simon would say we were great, but then on camera say nothing. I don't think he wanted us to win and by choosing what he said on camera he knew he had the power to sway votes. He is the ringmaster."
The boys have also complained about the decision to invite celebrity guests to perform on the show this year.
"When the contestants walk on stage the audience clap - that's what the X Factor is about," Jonathan Ansell explained. "But then the famous singers come on and it's all whoops and cheers. The show is not about them. Simon needs to give the new talent support, not the old talent."
