'X Factor's Kye Sones heading back to work as chimney sweep tomorrow

X Factor singer Kye Sones will head back to his day job as a chimney sweep tomorrow (August 29), he has revealed to Digital Spy.

The 30-year-old singer, who performed a Rita Ora/Swedish House Mafia mash-up on last Saturday's audition show, claimed that his newfound success on the ITV1 reality show didn't mean that he could leave his 9 to 5 job yet.



"I'm heading back to work tomorrow. I'll be back on the building site," said Kye, "My brother is on holiday so I can't get out of it. I'll be back chimney sweeping."

Sones also revealed that "when things are quiet" he does occasionally practise his singing and dancing while working on rooftops.

The singer was previously in an electronic group called Diagram of the Heart, who released a record and toured with Scissor Sisters.

The X Factor continues on Saturdays on ITV1.
