Quickenden, who appeared on Saturday's (September 1) audition show, works as a lifeguard when he's not singing, and joked that he would love to offer the Girls Aloud star mouth-to-mouth.
"I'd gladly take Cheryl in my arms and resuscitate her," joked the 23-year-old.
Quickenden's cover of Kings of Leon's 'Use Somebody' earned him big praise from the judges. Tulisa Contostavlos commented: "The ladies seem to absolutely love you."
Speaking about his day job as a lifeguard, he said: "I could stare at bikinis all day long. Having said that, I'm a fan of those cheeky cozzies that show your belly button; they're hot! You don't see too many of them in Scunthorpe."
Joking about his own fashion choices at work, the 23-year-old added: "Speedos are a crime against fashion and nobody wants to see your package on full display like that. I opt for shorts every time."
The X Factor continues on Saturdays on ITV1.
