"I just want to get out there. I've been working so hard for ten to fifteen years and I just need a break - I need a break it's unbelievable," he says.
"I mean, my luck's been awful. So even getting through that first stage, it's like, 'Oh, finally is something going to go my way?'."
Watch our video interview with Kye Sones:
When on stage, Kye tells the judges: "There has never been a Kye yet and I don't think there are any other big male new singers in Britain. The girls are smashing it, you've got Adele and Emeli Sandé and there's no guys singing big songs so I'd like to fill that gap."
After his emotional performance, the singer falls to his knees and gets a huge ovation from the arena audience.
Louis Walsh describes the audition as "faultless" and adds: "He's become the one to watch now."
Nicole Scherzinger comments: "I watched him and I believed every word he was saying right now, that's why we were captivated and we stuck with him."
Kye will discover whether he has made the final 24 and Judges' Houses at the end of tonight's Boot Camp episode.
The X Factor Boot Camp finale airs tonight at 7.30pm on ITV1.
