'X Factor' Jake Quickenden supports Rylan Clark: "I think he's class"

X Factor lifeguard Jake Quickenden has backed his co-star Rylan Clark against criticism from fans of the ITV1 talent show.

Clark, who has previously appeared on Sky Living reality series Signed by Katie Price, has been blasted by fans, who were angry the Essex singer got a spot at Judges' Houses ahead of acts such as Joseph Whelan and Joe Cox.

However, Quickenden, who visited Nicole Scherzinger's house in Dubai with Clark, backed his rival to prove the doubters wrong.

"I absolutely 100% love him," Quickenden told Digital Spy. "Rylan's the best lad ever. If you are feeling down, he picks you up straight away.

"I think he's class, but he fully admits to not having the best voice either.

"And the judges must have seen something in him. He totally deserves to be there."



Judge Scherzinger has also offered support to Clark, commenting: "Rylan, my love! I like Rylan. To me, he is all spice and sparkles."

Quickenden and Clark's fate will be decided on this weekend's Judges' Houses double bill on ITV1.
