'X Factor': Digital Spy readers angry with Louis Walsh decision

By
Digital Spy readers have voiced their disappointment over tonight's X Factor result.

Carolynne Poole became the first act to be eliminated from this year's competition after finding herself in the bottom two with Rylan Clark.

After seemingly choosing Rylan to be sent home, judge Louis Walsh decided to take the vote to Deadlock, much to the annoyance of Gary Barlow.

Poole was found to be the act with the fewest amount of votes, and was sent home.

On the forums, several users complained about Walsh's decision to take it to Deadlock, after he had appeared to change his mind.

Fudd wrote: "Something tells me Louis didn't want to send Carolynne home and he was forced into that - the way he acted just then... (sic)"

"LOUIS!! He said save Carolynne!! I thought he made a good decision for once! Then let Nicole interfere and changed! Felt uncomfortable with him crying! He's too old for this! It all got to him!," MeMeMe01 added.

Others claimed that the decision may have been fixed, after some viewers spotted what appears to be a producer speaking to Walsh during Carolynne's sing-off performance.

"Anyone notice the producers talking to Louis while Carolynne was singing her 'save' song? I smell a big fat fix!", Richie Stewart wrote.

Toy_Hero added: "That was a fix. I'm sorry. I don't like any of them but it was. Louis was told to take it to deadlock we all seen the producer pulling Louis to the side. Then he changed his mind after going against the producer! And then voted Carolynne out. You saw it i did too."

"Fix. Fake. Manipulated. Pantomine. For the first time ever, I don't want to watch anymore," Xassy stated in the forums.

However, it is standard procedure to see X Factor producers and studio staff talking to judges during the live shows.

David Conway pointed out: "No, there is someone who has a quick word with Louis, could have been about anything. The phone results are sealed and none of the judges no what it is. There's no rigging going on and if there was do you think they're stupid enough to send someone up on camera, and maybe have it picked up on the microphones."

The X Factor continues next Saturday, October 13 at 8.20pm on ITV1.
