Gary Barlow's Overs singer was dumped out of the ITV1 talent show this weekend after a last-minute change of heart from Louis Walsh, which sent her sing-off with Rylan Clark to deadlock.
Watch Carolynne Poole's interview with Digital Spy below:
"What I wanted to do was put my head in my hands, give my dad a cuddle and have a good cry," said Poole, speaking about her controversial elimination.
"Gary's reaction was genuine... We wanted to show people how it was about the talent and singing. Gary was really peed off that they didn't show that in the sing-off."
Speaking about the appearance of exec-producer Richard Holloway, whispering to Walsh during her sing-off performance, she said "I don't know what that person was saying. They could have been saying, 'Your hair needs fixing, you are looking a bit shiny on your forehead'. I don't know what he was saying.
"It could have been something of nothing. But I was disappointed he was distracted for the time that he was, while I was singing.
"And it was off putting. I'm not going to lie. The judges are very close to you and it did take my mind off what I was doing."
Poole added: "In that couple of minutes, you feel you have to sing for your life. It could be the difference between a record deal or no record deal. I want Louis's full attention."
