As Carolynne Poole loses out to Rylan Clark after Louis Walsh sent the vote to Deadlock on The X Factor last night (October 7), we take a look at the show's top 10 'novelty acts'.

From tuneless wonders to 'larger than life' characters, these are the contestants who entertain and annoy viewers in equal measure.
