The 'Young' singer claimed that unlike the Destiny's Child star, Scherzinger is "too nice to argue with".
"In the beginning me and Kelly used to be like, 'Yeah we get on like a house on fire, there's no problem', because there wasn't," Tulisa told We Love Pop magazine.
"The minute the problem started was when you saw it on TV. Whereas Nicole's just too nice!"
The former N-Dubz star also claimed that Rowland used to hold grudges following on-air disagreements, which meant the pair often ended up not speaking to each other.
"If we have an argument on the panel, when I come off Gary will say 'You alright?' and we just grin at each other," she said.
"It's just business. You don't need to bring it backstage. Obviously with me and Kelly, there were times when it went backstage and we wouldn't talk, which was unfortunate.
"It didn't bother me, though. I was like, 'If you don't want to talk to me, don't talk to me'."
Tulisa also admitted that Scherzinger's bizarre choice of words when giving contestants performance feedback makes her laugh.
"She'll be like, 'You have a really... poetic wardrobe'," she said. "She can be hilarious!"
Tulisa - who recently launched her own clothing line at high street store Bank - plans to release her debut solo album The Female Boss on November 26. Yesterday (October 19), she unveiled the third single to be lifted from the LP, a ballad called 'Sight of You'.
