The pair labelled the panellists "rude" for not giving their sing-off the attention they should have done, reports The Sun.
Singer Charlie Rundle said: "They were whispering to each other and I thought, 'I'm trying to sing for my place and they were chatting'. That's just rude."
The pair fell into the bottom two against Barlow's act Kye Sones and sung The Script's 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved' to keep their place in the competition.
Both Barlow and Scherzinger opted to send MK1 home instead of Kye.
The judges' decision was tied and the resulting Dead Lock sent MK1 home after it was revealed they had received the fewest public votes.
Rapper Simeon Dixon has also alleged that MK1's phoneline went down during this weekend's voting and claims this may have had an impact on the results.
Dixon explained: "MK1's vote line went down. A lot of our fans were tweeting saying they couldn't vote for us because there was something wrong with our line."
However, an X Factor spokesperson denied his claims: "The phone lines have been checked and there were no issues."
Since leaving the show, MK1 told Digital Spy they would love a TV show with contestant Rylan Clark.
The X Factor continues this Saturday at 8.20pm.
