The controversial contestant made the promise to judge Gary Barlow on tonight's edition of the show (October 27).
After singing a mash-up of 'Toxic' by Britney Spears, Mousse T's 'Horny' and 'Poison' by his mentor Nicole Scherzinger, Clark received a mixed response from the judges.
Gary Barlow said: "I owe it to you to give you an honest critique - it wasn't any worse than last week. And the music was so loud you couldn't hear the singing. That was good. The dancers were good. I loved the dancers."
Following Barlow's comments, Clark replied: "Gary, I really do want to impress you", before continuing to explain that if he were to progress into next week's show, he would "leave behind" the large stage productions, and he would simply stand with a microphone and sing.
When host Dermot O'Leary asked whether the 24-year-old was being serious, Clark responded: "100%. I want to prove not just to Gary but to other people... I want to prove myself."
