The Strictly Come Dancing judge launched fresh attacks on the rival Saturday night show, arguing that the BBC series was more trustworthy than the Simon Cowell programme.
"With The X Factor I think the audiences have lost faith and trust in it so that's its problem," said Horwood.
"You want to be watching something real and dynamic and something you can trust and believe in. I think that is the biggest problem.
"The Strictly judging panel is not scripted and they are."
Horwood joked that the X Factor panel had more Botox than Strictly and mocked Louis Walsh's latest haircut, describing it as looking like a "Fantasia lamp".
Last week, Horwood told Digital Spy that he considered X Factor an "insult to one's intelligence".
Strictly continues this Saturday (November 10) at 6.30pm on BBC One.
