'X Factor' Christopher Maloney given fourth warning over timekeeping?

By
Christopher Maloney has been warned by X Factor bosses for a fourth time over late timekeeping, it has been claimed.

Maloney upset mentor Gary Barlow and production staff by showing up for rehearsals of the group's take on U2's 'Beautiful Day' an hour late, according to The Sun.

"Chris is one of the most disliked contestants backstage because of the way he treats the production crew and other performers," a production insider alleged. "Nobody has a good word to say for him."

Maloney received further mixed feedback on Saturday evening's (November 10) show following his performance of Elton John's 'I'm Still Standing', with judge Nicole Scherzinger describing him as the "karaoke king".

Both Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos praised Maloney's vocal abilities, but expressed concern over whether he would sell records and how marketable he would be if he were to win the show.

The 34-year-old from Liverpool is Barlow's last remaining contestant in the Over 28s category, and was voted back into the live shows as a wildcard after initially failing to make the cut at Judges' Houses.
