Tulisa: 'X Factor blew me out of proportion'

By
X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has accepted that the show is responsible for her being "blown out of proportion" as a musician.

The 'Live It Up' singer, who lost her final act in this year's series when Ella Henderson was voted out on Sunday (November 18), said she would "never quit" The X Factor, as she knows not to "bite the hand that feeds you".

"At the end of the day I got to where I am as a solo artist with The X Factor," she told Metro.

"I'm not saying my music wasn't good enough - I still believe 'Young' would have gone to number one - but the way that I have been blown out of proportion is fully down to The X Factor and I am grateful for that and I would never bite the hand that feeds you."

Henderson has said that Contostavlos blames herself following the shock X Factor exit, with insiders adding that the former N-Dubz star fears her new relationship with footballer Danny Simpson made her lose focus.

Henderson told Digital Spy that she has made a "friend for life" in Contostavlos.
