The Essex-born singer, whose vocal abilities have been heavily criticised by Barlow during the live shows, was taunted by the Take That star at a gig in East London earlier this week.
Responding to the incident after it was reported in the press today (November 22), Clark reminded Barlow that he "entered the x factor.... NOT the voice" and appeared to complain that Maloney has not grown as an artist.
"I'd rather be 'absolute s***' than just stand there and sing the same old stuff every week on the spot....... #boreme @GBarlowOfficial," he tweeted.
"And I entered the x factor.... NOT the voice..... Cheers......"
Clark has previously claimed that his feud with Barlow is put on and even suggested that the pair perform a duet should he reach the X Factor final.
Barlow, however, has blamed Clark's presence in the show for the unjust departure of "good acts" like Ella Henderson, who was controversially voted out last weekend.
Maloney has received his fair share of criticism too, quitting Twitter this week after X Factor viewers sent death threats.
