Tulisa blames 'X Factor' ratings dip on 'ravers': 'They watch hungover'

By
X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has blamed the ratings dip for this year's series on people going "clubbing" and "raving" when the show airs.

The 'Sight of You' singer argued that the reason why Saturday's live editions have been shedding millions of viewers is because fans "watch The X Factor... hungover" the following day.

"The X Factor viewers might be clubbing on a Saturday night," she told Metro.

"If I was to go raving to every city in England, everyone I meet would be like, 'Yeah, I watch The X Factor tomorrow morning with a hangover'."

Contostavlos also dismissed suggestions that Simon Cowell could return to save his show next year by splitting his time with The X Factor USA.

"If we could split Simon into many people, we'd have him on every single X Factor," she said.

"There's only one of him. He has commitments. He's gotta do what he's gotta do."

She continued: "I see Simon as the man that sparked a big change in my life and I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for him and his belief in me and my decisions."
