Ben Shephard has quit The Xtra Factor after three years.
According to reports, the GMTV host was "not that happy" when Dermot O'Leary landed Kate Thornton's job as presenter of the main show instead of him.
Shephard has now signed up to front Dance X, a new BBC One series hunting for a modern day version of '70s dance outfit Hot Gossip.
A spokesman for the host said: "Ben wishes The X Factor's entire production nothing but the best."
The new series of The X Factor begins in August.
