Nicole Scherzinger glad she "survived" 'X Factor': "It was a jungle"

By
Nicole Scherzinger has said that she is proud to have "survived" last year's series of The X Factor.

The former Pussycat Doll likened her time on the show to her ex-bandmate Ashley Roberts's stint on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

She told the Daily Mail: "I think The X Factor is our own jungle and I'm proud that I was able to survive that and came out on top.

"Not our own jungle, its own animal, its own beast."

Scherzinger first appeared on The X Factor as a guest judge in 2010, filling in for Cheryl Cole while she battled malaria. She joined the judging panel of the US version of the show in 2011 before returning to the UK as a permanent judge for its 2012 series.

She recently said that "everything's up in the air" regarding a return to the show for this year's series.

Roberts was the runner-up on last year's I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! and has since joined the judging panel of skating show Dancing on Ice.

Roberts recently expressed her desire to reunite with her former bandmate on The X Factor, saying that if asked she would "definitely" join Scherzinger on Simon Cowell's singing show.
