'X Factor': Sinitta, Jahmene Douglas tease 'shocking changes' for 2013

By
Sinitta has told Digital Spy that people will be "shocked" by the changes to The X Factor this year.

The 'So Macho' singer, a close friend of X Factor boss Simon Cowell and frequent guest mentor, seemed to hint that reports of Sharon Osbourne joining the panel and Tulisa Contostavlos leaving were off the mark.

Speaking at a Claridge's event in aid of the Health Lottery, Sinitta - who admitted that she was hungover after a champagne-fuelled night out with Cowell - revealed: "Nothing's been solidly decided yet...but I kind of do know what is happening and it's exciting.

"I think you guys are going to be shocked. I think it's going to be like, 'Oh really?' But it's not going to be me on the panel."

Asked by DS if she is still holding out hope of finally joining the panel full time, the star replied: "Ten years later, it's like the biggest joke running, right - 'Sinitta for X Factor judge'. But I would still do it if they asked!"

Jahmene Douglas with Nicole Scherzinger on last year's 'X Factor'

Also at the bash was last year's runner-up Jahmene Douglas, who seemed unsure if his mentor Nicole Scherzinger would be back, but gave his approval to Osbourne coming on board.

"I know that [Nicole is] working on her album, so I know that she'll be touring with it," he said.

"I think each year probably needs to be different. To have Sharon back would be cool, she's crazy. She's a lovely, lively character."

Cowell previously declared that he is "excited" to unveil the "good changes" to the next series of X Factor.
