Bailey was crowned champion of the 2013 series tonight (December 15), after beating Nicholas McDonald in the final at Wembley Arena.
Asked on The Xtra Factor if he would consider writing songs for Bailey, Barlow said: "Oh, absolutely. I think the whole world will be looking at Sam right now as a great vehicle to be able perform their song with that kind of emotion and the kind of technical ability that she's got. It's incredible.
"I would be excited as a songwriter to write for her voice."
The Take That star then confirmed that he fully intends to work with Bailey in her post-X Factor career.
X Factor host Dermot O'Leary revealed that Bailey received over 1 million votes from the Great British public this weekend.
She will now release her debut single, a cover of Demi Lovato's 'Skyscraper', which is widely tipped to be this year's Christmas number one.
