Shayne Ward misses his girlfriend

X Factor winner Shayne Ward has found it tough being away from his girlfriend while working in America.

The 22-year-old singer has been in LA for the past two months and has struggled without long-term girlfriend Faye McKeever. Although he was surrounded by girls in bikinis when filming his latest music video, which was shot at the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica, Ward has insisted that he only has eyes for Faye.

"Faye and I are still very much in love," Shayne told the News of the World. "Being apart is hard. Because I've been in LA, I last saw her two months ago. But we chat every day. I couldn't do phone sex though, that's perverted!

"I love being faithful to her, but we're not getting married. I'm young and enjoying life to the fullest. Marriage hasn't crossed my mind. Faye's very supportive, she'd never try to put chains on me."

Asked about the female attention he receives, Ward replied: "It's nice to be called a sex symbol. I guess it boosts my confidence to be told I'm a good-looking guy. But Botox is very big here in LA so maybe I'll have a go at that."

Shayne's new single If That's OK With You is released on August 20.
