Dannii Minogue feared 'X Factor' axe
Published Sunday, Aug 19 2007, 11:58 BST | By Daniel Kilkelly

The Australian pop singer was recruited alongside Friedman as part of an overhaul for the new series, but she feared that all of the changes would be reversed when Simon Cowell decided to bring back Louis Walsh.
"I was at the end of my nerves," Dannii told The People. "I'd wake up at night thinking, 'Am I next?' But I love it and want to be here. I want to see it out to the end. I'm a huge fan and I made my breakthrough on a talent show so I know how important they are."
"It's been tough coming in three years late. I was taking on a huge task and in week one I was terrified I wouldn't get it right," she added. "But my sister Kylie and the rest of the family have been really supportive. She told me to be myself and I'd be great at it."
