Sinitta is Cowell's ex-girlfriend while Zig and Zag, The Big Breakfast's puppet stars, were far from a serious pop duo.
Cowell is said not to have read Fast Track To Fame, which is due out next week, but according to The Sun, he is likely to take the joke well.
"He’ll probably see the funny side, then hit back with something about Louis," explained a source. "They love to wind each other up."
