'X Factor' chiefs deny latest Sharon rumours

X Factor producers have once again been forced to deny rumours that Sharon Osbourne is being axed from the show.

A report in today's Daily Star claims that Osbourne will not be invited back for the fifth series, because bosses are tired of her behind-the-scenes rows with Dannii Minogue.

The newspaper states that the decision is also based on recent allegations made by Sharon's brother David Arden, which damaged the programme's image. Arden accused Sharon of trying to sabotage last year's series by encouraging Ben Mills, one of her own contestants, to quit the show.

However, an X Factor spokesman insisted: "Simon [Cowell], Sharon and the producers refute any claims that Sharon won't be back on the show next year. Sharon is really enjoying filming the series this year. She is delighted with her category and she's looking forward to the live shows - where she hopes she will win."
